HFRS-e is a gateway to online learning and development, commonly referred to as a learning management system (LMS) or virtual learning environment (VLE). What is an LMS?A learning management system is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of technology enhanced learning (TEL). Who is authorised to use it?Each person attending a HFRS training course will be emailed their joining instructions prior to attending a course. All HFRS employees will have access to the mandatory learning materials. CollaborationHFRS-e facilitates independent and collaborative learning via the use of dynamic page design, community forums and group feedback. Beyond e-LearningMany of the e-Learning courses are accompanied by practical training held at one of our newly refurbished training venues. This ‘mixed’ learning is what is commonly referred to as the blended learning approach, giving individuals a simultaneous independent and collaborative learning experience, a major contributor to student satisfaction and success in such courses. Logging inTo register on the E-Learning system you must have an enrolment key and your own humbersidefire.gov.uk email address. All HFRS Staff have been provided with both an enrolment key and an email address. Please contact a member of the training section if you do not know your enrolment key. If you do not have an active email address please contact the ICT Service Desk on 7440.
